{come to my window}
I have an uncommon attraction to windows {not in the suicidal way}. Maybe it’s because I feel like I live in two worlds. There’s so much going on inside, but outside it’s so damn beautiful that I just can’t stand to stay away. So you’ll find me nose pressed upon the pane with my breath fogging up the glass.

Whimsical woodwork by artist Patrick Dougherty. His creations remind me of the set work for Where the Wild Things Are. {I wonder if he was involved?}

{eniko and klimt}
Eniko Mihalik stars in this short video and this spread in 25 magazine, both which were inspired by Gustav Klimt‘s art. Derek Kettela shot the spread and video with the help of model couple Sasha Knezevic (as creative director) and Anja Rubik (as fashion editor). Did I mention that the music is by Portishead?
Klimt + Portishead = Swoon.

{just like a star}
Corrinne Bailey Rae is one of my favorite musicians. She’s perfection on stage. Captivating, pure, and feminine, I can listen and watch her for hours. Surprisingly, I’d only watched two of her videos until last week. I was left utterly awestruck by the video for Just Like a Star. Production designer, Tom Gander, hung over 2,000 silver origami cranes were hung from the ceiling in this incredible video. You can watch the video here.

It’s my blogiversary!
{Bits of Beauty} began one year ago on this day. I didn’t set out to change my life through blogging, but it certainly happened. All I can say is that I’m thankful to have such wonderful readers and a great community of bloggers to support me and inspire me.
Thanks so much!
And of course, what would a celebration be without balloons?! Yipeeeee!!!!!

{bit of beauty: clare owen}
Browsing through the Sunday Brunch website, I discovered artist Clare Owen. Judy always features an artist paired with a featured dress on the site’s landing page. {Where does she find such fabulous artists AND dresses?!}
