I’m in a very peculiar, yet lovely mood. Is it possible to say that I’m in an old fashioned mood? These jazz-age styled photographs are so very interesting. Yes, they are pretty with gorgeous use of light and elegant costumes. However, what really strikes me is the feel of them and the relationship between the women in the photographs. It reminds me of the movie Belle Epoque, with all the sisters living at home together and finding things {and a man} to busy themselves with. These women feel like sisters to me, with the blond being the baby sister. This series invokes sentiment and a story. I think that is the mark of good art.
Also, I prepared a little treat for you. I picked out just under 40 tracks from the 1920’s and added them to a playlist at the bottom of this post. Enjoy!

{bit of beauty: stina persson}
These gorgeous and oh so glamorous works are by artist Stina Persson. I found her through Kelly Smith’s blog Birdy & Me. Aren’t they fabulous? If you’d like to own one of her works, you can look here for information on how to acquire a giclee or original work.
{also} an interview with Stina here.
{if you’d be so kind}
So, my lovely readers, I need a favor. Although, I know you already have your own means of following me, would you be so kind as to join the {Bits of Beauty} fan page on facebook? I need at least 100 followers to get the url {facebook.com/bitsofbeauty}!
{in the clouds}
By a happy coincidence, Fleur Avenue did a cloud post today, too! Great minds think alike.

{etsy bits: party poms}
I’ve been seeing these everywhere. I can’t wait to throw a party with these. The pink ones remind me of flowers. When I was little, every party had to have those paper ball decorations, but they were nowhere near this chic. {Actually, they were rather tacky.}
You can get these fun pom-pom’s on Etsy at Party Poms.
