{bit of beauty: melissa haslam}
So sweet, but there is a touch of something dark and grown-up about these. It keeps the work from being too little girlish.

“Le premiere symptôme de l’amour vrai chez un jeune homme, c’est la timidité; chez une fille, c’est la hardiesse.” – Victor Hugo
Translation: “The first symptom of love in a young man is shyness; the first symptom in a young woman; its boldness.”

Again, I’m a sucker for lingerie. It really is the type a thing a girl wears for herself, first and foremost. And, what is with the Brits coming up with such fabulous lingerie?
They also make a strapless bra that is sexy. {I know, unheard of, right?} Cheers to the brits for making pretty knickers. Knickers is a far better word than… ew don’t make me say it.. panties.

{style is ageless}
I like this little interview with Maria Kener on the Sartorialist. I think her style is so elegant and feminine, but in a very womanly way. Gorgeous.
Also, I saw this blog on The Art of Jordan and think it is fabulous. Just because you have reached a certain age, does not mean you have to give up your personal style and become irrelevant.

{friday finds}
Oh, Australia, how I’d love to visit. So much cool that I was unaware of until now. What else are you hiding from me? Well, I found one more of your secrets. Yes, no longer can you keep Ruby Smallbone all to yourself, Australia!
That tuxedo shirt would be perfect for my bestie, Francesca. For myself, I’d like the second dress.
