{raindrops keep fallin’…}

It’s been quite rainy the past few days {as it often is} here in South Florida. It’s had me thinking of umbrellas and footwear. {It tends to be too warm here to wear a raincoat.}

{Chantall Thomas. Trenchcoat & matching lingerie, anyone?}

{Translation: “Shit, it’s raining”}

{This one is lovely, but my favorite are these…}

{I just can’t decide, pink or black?}

{Or, maybe both?}

I usually wear heels and dresses in the rain, especially since it tends to be so warm and muggy here. {Plus, I can’t stand when the bottom of my pants get wet!} However, I’d rock these with jeans tucked or a dress.

All umbrellas available here. Boots by Hunter, originally seen on Seven Eight.

{the lady noire affaire}

Although, I was under the impression that this launched tomorrow, the embeddable code was available today.

So, Chanel or Dior? And, do you think that these short films as part of fashion ad campaigns are effective? Personally, I think they have caught my attention, and I think other bloggers, but I wonder if it is a cost effective move. Or, perhaps, it just doesn’t matter.

{p.s.}
Apparently, there will be a “Lady Rouge” next…

{what chuck wore}

In honor of last nights Gossip Girl season finale.

“That’s rich, Humphrey. You’re a scholarship kid from Brooklyn. And you have the audacity to show up at my hotel in Gap jeans? And then question my choice of trousers? Get out of my face. Go hit up an American Apparel and lecture somebody who cares.”

If you have not seen What Chuck Wore, you really need to head on over. Quite amusing.

{nom, nom}

The past two weeks have been one ginormous blur of research on a variety of different ideas that have come up, including baked goods. One of my sisters is planning on baking and selling gourmet cupcakes, so we’ve been going a little crazy searching for inspiration and finding out what will be required. In the process of all that searching, I came across tons of great stuff, including a company in Brooklyn called Whimsy & Spice. They make these delicious looking goodies:

short bread cookies (check the lavendar, yum!)

Chocolate marshmallows

Chocolate Espresso Brownies

Lucky for all us non-Brooklyn residents, they have an etsy store!
